After the White House pulled press credentials from CNN, MSNBC, and Politico, NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox News suspended their own pooled coverage in solidarity.

So the administration launched "Trump TV," a 24-hour YouTube stream of archived speeches looping on repeat, no live programming and no breaking news.

It opened Monday night with about 8,000 viewers.

By midmorning, it was under 1,000 — on a channel with 3.18 million YouTube subscribers. A conversion rate of 0.076 percent.

A deputy White House aide said the channel exists because other outlets "reported inaccurately or not at all" on the administration's accomplishments.

Those accomplishments apparently include a 32 percent approval rating, the lowest of his entire second term.

They banned the press and built their own network so loyalists would finally tune in. And almost nobody showed up.

This is a preview of what will happen in the midterms. Trump built his own state-run TV channel just so people would watch him amid his desperate press ban — and almost nobody did.

Impeachment can cost him his job. It can't send him to prison.

Kentucky Republican Thomas Massie introduced eight articles of impeachment against Hegseth on Sept. 15, four of them over the war with Iran, which he calls illegal because Congress never authorized it. Others concern military operations in Venezuela and Yemen. Massie, who lost his primary to a Trump-backed challenger this spring, said he wanted to leave "a marker in history."

Because the resolution is privileged, the House had to act within two legislative days. Instead, Republican leaders, who said the timing had nothing to do with Massie, canceled the last votes before the midterms, pushing the vote to after the House returns on Nov. 9. Speaker Mike Johnson called the effort "a publicity stunt," and Attorney General Todd Blanche said Hegseth is "not doing anything wrong."
